1-Year Anniversary - "Golf for the Gulf"

Benefit for Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund

On Friday, May 28th, H Street Country Club will marked its one year anniversary in DC's Atlas District while partnering with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) to raise awareness and funds to clean up the oil spill occurring in the Gulf of Mexico. The "Golf for The Gulf" event supported NWF's efforts to protect wildlife and habitats throughout the Gulf Coast by donating 100% of mini-golf sales to NWF's Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund.

H Street Country Club opened in May of 2009 and since then, it has welcomed thousands of guests offering classic Mexican food, an extensive beverage menu and the only indoor miniature golf course in the city.

National Wildlife Federation supports their volunteer network’s immediate response to protect impacted wildlife and habitats, and their ongoing efforts to restore vulnerable nesting and breeding grounds as well as other delicate ecosystems found throughout the Gulf Coast for water birds, sea turtles and other animals. In coordination with Gulf state affiliates and partners, National Wildlife Federation plans to use the Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund to support the creation, development and management of an extensive Volunteer Wildlife Surveillance Network that is designed to address both the immediate and long term needs of the affected areas.
