HSCC Collects Funds for DCPS

In February H Street Country Club hosted an event rewarding children from the Payne and Maury Elementary Schools for improvements in the classroom and, that evening, held an all-night event generating funds and new books for DC Public Schools.

Our patrons donated a new children's book and money raising over $1,100 that night. Patrons also had a chance to meet local school administrators and register for the many DCPS volunteer opportunities. All proceeds collected that night benefited the DC Public Education Fund.

"We're elated to partner with DCPS and the DC Public Education Fund. We've received a wonderful response from the DC community since our opening last May and hope to work with our neighbors time and time again in the future," says owner Joe Englert.

The DC Public Education Fund’s mission is to dramatically improve student achievement in the District of Columbia by serving as a strategic partner to businesses, foundations, community leaders, and individual donors in supporting and investing in high-impact programs with the District of Columbia Public Schools. H Street Country Club is located in the Atlas District at 1335 H Street NE. It features Mexican fare designed by James Beard award-winning chef Ann Cashion and is home to the only indoor mini golf course in Washington, DC.  H Street Country Club is open daily from 5:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
